I think the major problem with the old "THRO" (Throw the Hypocritical Rascals Out) movement from the 1980s that is making a comback is the dearth of qualified candidates to fill their jobs.

I mean, with the gauntlet that the press will run you through - who's going to risk all that? Who, among REAL PEOPLE, has the resources to run a campaign *and* still make the mortgage payment? (This was the intent of our founding fathers - be successful, do your public service, return to private life).
