Please take a look at Rainbow Springs. It is about 45 minutes away and it beautiful. You can rent a canoe or kayak and go on an inlet and river that is very calm and one of the largest spring fed inlet and river in the state.
You can look down from your canoe, etc. and see the bottom at 20 feet. We tried it and were surprised. You can also swin there if the weather permits.
