We are in Hemingway (which is east of Buena Vista), in fact we are almost to Canal, and we occasionally can hear the train whistle. It is a very distant sound, but still audible.

I have not noticed any odor from the sewage treatment plants, but we don't live near one.

I learned everything I needed to know to make a decision about living in The Villages on this website. I didn't need to read a book about it too.
