Really enjoyed the curling matchs but also saw bits and pieces of many of the other events.

There seem to be many top athletes at both the Summer and Winter Olympics who are far from anything resembling amateurs. The cost of much of the Winter Olympic equipment and training for each individual Vancouver contestant could probably buy a nice house in the Villages.

What kind of bugs me is the nationalism I saw whenever I was watching something through the NBC lens. It also seemed heavily fixated on who would win the medals rather than who was doing the competing.
