I understand that there are many people that are unable to pay out of pocket for medical services that are not covered by their plan. I am extremely lucky that I have the Cadillac plan and when I retire I will continue with the same plan with myself and my wife with the same coverage for $36 to cover us both. My friend that lives in Oshawa just outside or Toronto had a torn rotator cuff about the same time I did last year. I had both of my shoulders repaired about 8 months apart before he even got the OK from Canadian Health to have his operation. I believe they said this was an elective surgery and didn't require immediate response.
Many Canadians are Happy with their plans and many are not. I just want to point out that their plan by no means is the answer. We may have to fine tune what we have and make improvements. Socialist medicine is NOT
the answer.
