I do not live in pennecamp. I live in Winifred. I just looked both up on the map. In winifred which is about twice the distance from the tracks as pennecamp, late at night if i am in the bedroom on the west side of the house i can hear the train way off in the distance. Certainly not an annoyance to me. Kind of reminds me of when i was a kid on the farm.
I am sure that pennecamp can hear the train late at night on the west side of homes based on the above. Pennecamp is about 3 times the distance from the tracks as the Chatham area. That is where I hear the most complaints about the trains.
I am always amazed at how sound travels here in TV. I can hear the Pickleballs at laurel manor in the morning and that is about a mile away.
