Apparently, admission is a lot more complicated than I thought. It is based on various factors - sort of like getting a tee time.

• Category I (Highest Priority): Direct employees of The Villages companies or sales contractors (e.g., Holding Company, Properties of The Villages).

• Category II: Sub-contractors providing direct services to The Villages.

• Category III: Leased business partners operating commercial storefronts or services within the community layout.

• Category IV (Lowest Priority): Non-Villages site operators or other approved workplace partners

Within each of those four categories, the school filters applicants by work hours:

• Full-Time (40+ hours/week) applications are processed and seated first.

• Part-Time (under 40 hours/week) applications are only considered once the full-time pool for that specific business tier is completely exhausted.

If you work full-time for a Category I employer, your child has a very high probability of direct admission because they sit at the absolute top of the selection matrix.
If you work part-time for a Category III or IV employer, your child will be placed near the bottom of that year's waitlist matrix.

Does anyone know how many kids are not admitted each year?
