This one is probably a bit hard to generalize. I suspect answers would vary quite a bit, depending on individual circumstances. We've only owned a home in TV since Oct., don't live there FT and have had parents visit once, friends visit once, and other friends down coming in April, for just one day (they are staying in Orlando). Keep in mind, though, that my parents live in Boca Raton and our visitor friends live in Atlanta, only about a seven hour drive.
I'm with AG. I don't know that I would feel obliged to purchase more house than I wanted to accomodate casual visitors. There are nice hotels in TV and many nearby. If you mean children and grandchildren, that's a different story.
