I'm hardly an apologist for Obama. Between two and six years ago, I was accused of being a Bush apologist.
If you're going to blame Obama for something, do yourself a favor and blame him for something under his control. He's done as much to affect gas prices this past year as *I* have. China, India, EPA regulations from the Clinton/Bush years, regulations that have kept refineries from being built - they all have more impact than Obama.
And it wasn't Obama who 'allowed' the Russians to drill in the Gulf of Mexico. Apparently some people haven't yet learned that Cuba is a sovereign nation and it was CASTRO's regime that is allowing drilling in CUBAN territorial waters.
And thank you, mrdills, for reminding me of my ex-wife. I am NO fan of Obama. But I do find myself in the position of John Adams in defending someone against false accusations. I defended Bush (though I didn't vote for him) when people were making crap up against him because I beleived the truth was good enough to show Bush's faults. Likewise, the truth is good enough to show Obama's faults.
Like when Bush was in the office, I did feel some compulsion to defend the Presidency.
