Glad to hear you had a very positive experince with your contractor. However since every job is different and the workload varies between contractors, I would highly suggest everyone to get at least 3 bids on any construction/remodel job. Before you select a contractor, (ie sign a contract) ask to see his work and get references.

Also make certain when you compare bids that you are comparing apples to apples.....for Crown moulding make certain all bids are for the same size of moulding. 4 inch, 5 1/4 inch or 7 inch (sounds obvious but you would be amazed); How does the contractor splice the long 16 foot plus runs; Is painting of the crown included in the estimate and what type of paint will be used.

Crown moulding is one improvement that adds a "touch of class" to any home. We never had it before and it just looks great in our home!
