History has had many majors where great scores are posted day one but unsustainable.

I agree with Russ_Boston on the course being tougher for Tom. He is in amazing shape, but he will have to be spot on around the greens.

As a fan I could not have hoped for a better leader board and IMO having Tiger on the board makes the story more compelling.

Another name I did not even notice yesterday was Lee Westwood. I do not know a lot about him but recollection says he is someone I could pull for on Sunday. If he is not, I am sure folks will tell me why . It is always fun to watch someone trying to win a major for the first time. Golf is unique in that it is slow enough you can almost see the pressure wear on players.

Nobody wins on day one.....
