Cold up here in Vermont. Wood stove running. Snow on the ground this morning, a lot of sun and very brisk winds.

Welcome to you.
It is not more or less expensive to buy "further out". Each village has a variety of villas, cottages, designers and some have premiers (All different model series) too. Lake Sumter Landing is NOT where all the action is in my view. AND not where the grocery , tons of restaurants and all the other stores most people frequent. We rarely go to Lake Sumter Landing, but frequently go to the shopping centers and go to the college and to the rec centers for classes and fun things. There is nothing here that isn't close to whatever you want to do and where you want to be (including Lake Sumter Landing). It is really NOT the downtown area in the traditional sense...but everything is a new concept here. The golf courses and pickleball and tennis courts at the rec centers are scattered throughout.
Oh dear new one.... You just aren't going to believe this place. We hosted friends of friends the other day who sort of unexpectedly stopped by. They were absolutely "got". They had NO intention of looking at The Villages and fell in love with it right in front of our eyes.
It happens all the time.
Welcome. PM me if you want to see inside a residents home when you are here. There is always something cold to drink at our place.
You are gonna like it here.
