Bucco, Andy Stern made a surprise announce that blindsided many of his supporters a couple of weeks ago that he is stepping down as the head of the SEIU immediately. Of course he keeps his life-time retirement benefits. And he said he'll keep his appointment by Obama on the Economic Recovery Advisory counsel or whatever it was that Obama appointed him to serve on. Anna Burger was running for the seat, but also stopped campaigning in the middle of her run. That leaves Mary Kay Henry. Makes you wonder what is going on doesn't it. Could be that Stern and his, as he refers to Burger and Henry, "lifelone partners" for the Progressive cause, have nearly bankrupt the pensions and retirements of the union workers they represent. They say Burger was too closely associated with Stern to keep the union's support so Henry, who worked on the healthcare reform bill, has stepped in.
