Skin color, sex, national origin (with the exception of Arizona) are becoming ever less important in who a candidate is, as opposed to the issues involved.

I'm a liberal, so I happen to believe that individuals are smart enough to sort out their issues as intelligent human beings. Unfortunately, when you see everything as either black and or white, as in "You're either with us or with the Terrorists" you will tend to miss the need for independent thought about complicated issues.

Only dittoheads and their ilk would see the rise of minority politicians of any party as being a "disaster" for the Dems or liberals. It's what we've fought for ever since you condemned the Civil Rights Act as a communist plot.
