I knew there were reasons why I avoided having a cell phone for years and years. Even though I succumbed a couple of years ago, it sits OFF on my counter 99.9% of the time!
It collects a huge amount of traffic and weather alerts, which I dutifully erase now and then!

I noticed your lived in Connecticut. I do not have much use for a cell phone as I also use it very rarely. I am asking that you may want to reconsider carrying a cell phone with you when you are out and about.
It can be useful if you have a car accident and need to call the police or a medical emergency, (GOD forbid).
I got stuck in dead mans land on the Merritt Parkway late at night a couple of times and found it awfully convenient to call AAA. This is not meant as a criticism but instances that happened to me. I came to accept it can be a convenience. Sorry, I digressed from the original thread.
I have Verizon with a very low monthly rate and a lot of free minutes. I hope it works well in TV when I go from a wannabee to a frog.
