I've been a big fan of the show for a long ime, as well as the show just before it. Scarborough is no RINO- he's what the Republican Party always was before it was hijacked to the right.

I remember watching him often on CSPAN, and he was red-meat right-wing the same way Newt was. I became impressed with him right after Katrina because you could see in his heart he was furious at all levels of the government for screwing up the response. There aren't many times when you actually get to see a man's whole being shift.

I was impressed that his honesty and clear voice was geared solely to getting help for the people of the region, not with blame for any one party. Now, as a TV personality he's one of the few (Anderson Cooper is another) who calls it as he sees it- whatever party is involved.
