Even when and if BP can fix this - and I have my doubts - you can bet that the Gulf will suffer for many, many years.
I forsee there being absolutely no Gulf seafood before long. That puts I don't know how many fishermen out of business. Even if they convert their boats to some sort of tourist attraction, it isn't likely to be for fishing expeditions!
I am increasingly scared that another rig will explode or another well will spew forth all that gunk. I keep my fingers crossed, especially for any other mile-deep sites. Bah Humbug!
