Is anyone here familiar with the cold-cut sandwich that I used to get as a kid when we lived in Philadelphia known as a Hoagie? I've had many people say "Oh yeah, a cheese-steak". NO!!! Not a cheese-steak! I'm talking about a cold-cut sandwich with several types of meat and cheese and VERY thinly sliced onions and God knows what else and finished with either oil and vinegar or italian dressing. I know some of you old folks know of what I speak. I lived in Philadelphia over 50 years ago, but I can still remember those sandwiches and nothing I have had since can hold a candle. We have gone to Philly a couple of times, but have not been able to find anywhere that made anything like them. I think mostly they were made in mom and pop deli's, but like I said, it's been over 50 years. Mainly, I want to know if there is anywhere in TV that has anything remotely close to this type of concoction. Subway doesn't count.
I thought I read somewhere on these boards that Jersey Mike's Subs had moved into the area of TV. We NJ folks love Jersey Mike's!!!!!!
