Thank you for your replies regarding MD. It is indeed an extremely serious medical condition. Sorry to hear of your Dad's blindness Kathie, but glad he has adjusted so well.

I urge anyone who reads this thread to get an annual eye exam. If you are a diabetic you should have one every six months.

And don't forget your pets! My "little princess" (a very pampered pup) visits her veterinarian opthamologist for her yearly eye exam too!

Glen was trying to be a bit lighthearted about his eye problem, but then people often do this when they are first hit with a serious health problem. However, he is a highly intelligent man and I'm sure he will be seen by the very best opthamologist (if not already) and not leave anything to chance.
