Cologal, employers are only required to have prospective employees fill out a Form I9 Identification Form. If someone provides false/fake identification documents, how is the employer suppose to know that? I'm not saying employers are faultless, I'm just asking you to consider the entire hiring process for any employer, small to large corportation.

If an investigation by the ICE gets to a point that an employer is discovered to have hired illegals, let's prosecute the illegals if they falsified identification documents. Prosecute the employer if they don't have the legally required I9 paperwork.

The DOJ isn't challenging the law that Arizona passed. They can't do that because the Arizona law is the federal law that isn't being enforced. They are challenging Arizona's right to enforce a law that is federal responsibility through the Commerce Act. How ludicrious is that? In the mean time, if the feds aren't going to enforce the immigration laws, I think Arizona has every right to enforce the same law.

How can you expect the feds to come up with a tamper proof ID card when they can't come up tamper proof immigration system. The federal government's E-Verify is a flop. It has been shown to clear illegal workers 54 percent of the time.
