The purse was still hanging on the back of a green resin chair when one of our wonderful security volunteers went looking for it. Not only was it still there, people realized what the officer was probably searching for, and pointed it out. It was promptly returned to us, complete with all its' contents. Cash, charge card, phone, Village ID and two golf "counters" just purchased. I doubt there is another community anywhere in the "real world" where such a thing would happen. That must be a relief.
Gotta say , though, with all due respect for our newly adopted 'hometown' and all it's fine full time, part time, and visitors...
that we've had such blessings happen to us in all corners of this country and planet.
Are we in a minority, majority, or just alone in being surprised that so many people are surprised when 'the right thing to do' happens??
What would most of us netizens on TOTV do wherever we happen to be...
home, visiting., traveling...
Maybe we are in a minority....we seldom lock things up - car, bikes, home....
we prefer to avoid places where there is a susceptibility..Of course when visiting the kids in some urban areas of California, Europe, even Nashville and Texas, the story changes a bit.
Good thing TV is not on the list of endangered places , but of course we do get our exceptions.
Next time you go, knock an extra one back in celebration, after grabbing the purse of course!!
