Secondly, there hasn't even been TWO thousand years since Islam was created, much less caught on. Their prophet died less than 1400 years ago. So if you want to say HUNDREDS of years, at least you have a chance of being right. Heck, even Christianity hasn't been around for two thousand years yet.
The defeat of radical Islam isn't going to come from Christians bearing their swords and marching on Mecca or anything like it. It's going to come from moderate muslims who can't stand the practices of those who pervert their religion.
It's kind of like how Catholicism is losing emmbers like crazy because the Vatican won't police their own when it comes to the sex abuse charges. Oh, sure, some die-hards won't leave but the Catholic Church is declining. This is a small example of what has to happen on a large scale concerning Islam.
Whether it's tribalism, factionalism, orthodoxy - you have to be able to police your own. The line "we are a nation of laws, not men" comes to mind.

I can't for the life of me figure out why you are tolerant of this mosque in the WTC's shadow. This is from a religion that is burning down churches in the world faster than you can defend them.
