djplong, in very, very basic terms, Christianity, Islam and Judaism didn't just pop up out of the blue. Christianity, Judaism and Islam share their roots. The split comes in the Messiah spoken of in the Torah, the Old Testament and the Koran. These three are referred to as the Abrahamic religions.
Arabic people are the Children of Abraham (who was Abram prior to his covenent with God) who inhabited the “eastern country" through Abraham's firstborn son Ismael.
Jewish people are the children of Abraham through is second born son Isaac (who is the father of Jacob). Christians are the children of Christ as the Messiah through the geneology of King David.
The whole point of the Old Testament, the Koran and the Torah is the prophesies telling of the coming Messiah. Islam thinks Jesus was a prophet not the son of God or the Messiah. Of course, to the Muslims, that is Muhammed. The Jews are still waiting on the coming of the Messiah. And Christians believe Christ is the fulfulling of the prophesies spoken of in the Old Testament.
This is why all of the begats are some of the most important words in the Bible, the Koran or the the Torah. This lineage is what the Bristish Royals are all about. That is what the coronation stone symbolizes. It was Jacob's pillow when he dreams his dream of the ladder. You know the story of Jacob's ladder.
This geneology and the beginnings of these religions is the fundemental thing that has caused wars and disagreements since Eve was tempted in the Garden of Eden. Did she believe what God said or would she believe Satan.
