Had a white car and it seemed every car I saw was white. I now have a silver car and it now seems silver is the popular color.
In selecting a car color I would be more concerned with how quickly it looks dirty. My silver car is not too bad nor was my white one. Friend bought a beautiful deep maroon sedan and complains about keeping it clean.
Heat in Florida is a factor but modern air conditioning can handle it. If I had my heart set on a black car I wouldn't let the heat factor deter me.
