Mokey, I lived in Mechanicsville for 2 years (still work there) and now live at Brickshire in Providence Forge. I still go to a Mechanicsville church and have a band that does a concert there a couple times a year (mostly popular music with the occassional spiritual song thrown in). I'm also not really looking for a paying gig. I find it a lot of fun to get a bunch of people together, rehearse for a while, then put on a free concert maybe a couple times a year. Many of the people I have worked with are good musicians and singers who have never performed rock and popular music for an audience. It's a thrill to get them up to performance level and let them get the thrill of a live audience reaction to their music. When we get closer to moving, I'll get in touch.
Pturner, thanks for your usual helpful advice. I very much enjoy reading your posts.
Walt, get that drummer down to TV! A really good drummer is a godsend!
