Hi Pat and Bob,

Welcome!

A couple of things....entertainment does stop at 9, but if it's cold, and it was cold here in Feb, then entertainment stops when the temps reach a certain point....I think it's somewhere in the 40's but I can't give you the exact temp. It gets difficult for entertainers to play guitars or horns in the cold.

Sorry you didn't meet too many friendly locals. Really most people are very friendly to others, guess you just met a few who had other things on their minds.

You start to feel a part of this community almost immediately. When you start your moving in process, people will come to say hello and and offer various types of help, be it the use of their phone, internet, drop off food, etc, but if you're moving into an area with few people, they might too, be busy getting their households in order. You can go to them....believe me, it will be appreciated and always remembered. I remember the appearance of a neighbor with a tray of food to heat up for our dinner when we were moving in. It was so wonderful of her and so greatly appreciated. She is a dear woman and I am honored to be her friend. You'll find the same thing happening to you or doing for others.

I'm not a pool person, too hot in the summer, but you've been told to check out all the pools during the day to see how shaded it might be...good idea. There are lots of pools in the community and though it's nice to be able to use one close to home, others might provide better sun protection right now.

Again, welcome home.....enjoy!

Pat
