There was a horrible murder in Mont Vernon NH this past year (woman murdered, daughter severely injured in a machete attack). I happened to personally know one of the killers, was good friends with his father and that same killer wanted to date my younger daughter at one point. The father is an elder in the Mormon church and one of the nicest guys I've ever know. The other son is attending BYU and is an excellent student. Should they all be tarred with a broad brush of 'guilt by association'? Should I?
