Pats: It helps to know what others, friends AND enemies think of you. It's an old saying that "no man is an island" and that's never been more true than today, as interconnected as we all are.

Consider this - if we had done things a little differently in the 50s and 60s and, say, not been a slave to oil and therefore hadn't pumped all that money to terrorists, do you think the skyline of New York would look differently today?

Knowing what others think of us is the first step in figuring out where our future enemies are going to be coming from - and VITAL in determining what to do about it.

And why should I care? Because I believe it's my patriotic duty, as an American citizen, that if someone is believing lies about us, to at least offer them the truth.
