I think you do hear that...Iraq spending, but what has happened the last 1 1/2 years dwarfs all that spending.
Just investigate the health bill (that backroom blackmail founded bill) that DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to decrease health care costs but is going to be an anchor on our economy for many many years, EVEN THOUGH, by admission of the administration, it does not address the reason for all the wheeling and dealing.
From the "stimulus" bill unread and nothing but a social program bill to the health bill, the spending is out of control.
YEP...spent a lot of money in Iraq...spending even more in Afghan....BUT, add to all of that what has happened in the last two years and you have the reason for this movement !
