The old-timers spray tobacco juice as an insecticide and to combate the white mold on Florida's non-vegetable plants. One recipe includes the Dawn dish soap with the tobacco juice.

Just use one gallon of water and one cup of tobacco leaves (pouch tobacco, cigerettes or the chewless type) and let sit for at least 24 hours. When the water takes on a brown color, put in a spray bottle and spray you plants.
