Wilkommen! Hier is viel los. (Welcome, there is a lot going on here) Having been a club member for some 10 years, while also being active in many other clubs including some of the great Irish and Celtic clubs here, I can honestly say that the German American Club may well be the most active of all the "nationalities" clubs. Over the years I would say they average about 2 events a month and have a number of really nice big parties from last week's Luau to an absolutely outrageous Schlachtfest that is both rollicking fun and a sumptious treat. If you want to enjoy or learn more about your heritage, relive your German experiences or simply have an interest in "res teutones" (things German) you will have a blast. Their Villages renowned Schatzis perform for the club and many other Villages events. Make sure to bring your Bier and Bierstein as well as your dancing shoes you will need both. Sad to say that the fabulous Alpen Diamanten are now retired and Saturday was their last appearence performing here. They intend to come back regularly as member/guests but their performing days have ended. They got a well-deserved sendoff with a loud standing ovation. Never fear, there are other good groups the G-A club brings in and hopefully you will also enjoy them. Now go grab a good half-liter and practice your eins, zwei, gesoffa!
