Of the many reasons here are just a few. House is great for part time use but too small for full time. After moving here you get a large inheritance/insurance settlement and can afford more. Want to be closer to stores/pool/town square, etc.. Want privacy and move to CYV or the opposite because too many homes on the block. Because they want a showpiece.
In the case of my cousin he wanted to move because his children were having more children and visiting more often for extended stays. He needed more room and ended up adding two more bedrooms to his existing home.
In our case this is our ninth home so we pretty much know what we like but if I hit the lottery I too will move in a heartbeat.
