Default Virginia is truly for lovers!

Since hubby and I won’t be moving to TV for a few more years, we still have time to enjoy all the wonderful things that will be sorely missed: first and foremost our home because it overflows with special memories created between the two of us, our family and friends; my lovely gardens which through the seasons kindly offered a serene retreat from both life’s major and minor stresses.
Beyond our home, I’ll miss Sundays in Spring with invigorating bike rides along the Colonial Parkway (between Williamsburg and Jamestown) then stopping for a picnic and photos; long lazy summer days on the Outer Banks spent lost in a good mystery, shopping in quaint boutiques or simply snoozing in a softly swaying hammock; dining and dancing by moonlight on the Chesapeake Bay; the VA Tech/UVA football games (especially the tailgate parties!); our traditional “Falling in love with Fall” weekend getaway on the Skyline Drive (after the leaves have donned their dresses of red and gold); the Grand Illumination in Williamsburg followed with a hearty winter meal at one of the historical taverns; the outstanding museums and cultural events in DC;....etc....etc....etc.......

Virginia is a beautiful state in which to reside. We enjoy a wonderful climate whereby we get to experience all four seasons without anyone overstaying their visit!
