My dad's cousin owned some land in ALVA, and he had some excavation done there He got curious, and sent some fossilized shells to an old army buddy that works at the smithsonian to be carbon dated. This stuff was only down about 4 feet, and they dated it at about 800,000 years old. AMAZING!!
