I just did this in the majority of rooms in our house. There is no question - it is a BIG job and a big mess. Floormasters did our job, the floors look great.

I would shop around for price and recommendations. I did that three years ago, selected Floormasters, and have used them for three jobs since then. The first two were just replacing carpet, fairly easy, this last job was taking up tile and replacing it - very happy with the end result but here are a couple of thoughts: move out everything you can. Cover everything else in plastic. Seal off doors on rooms that are not being done. Get a professional cleaning crew after the job is done to clean everything from the ceiling to the floor. And don't forget to replace your air filter, it will be a mess!
