This whole thread fascinates me! I've watched the marketing of homes in TV for more than 5 years and am constantly amazed at the weird and wild changes that happen, seemingly without even the slightest forward-thinking!

I'm guessing that, if the bottom line is enhanced, then who gives a d*** whether a strategy makes sense or not?

I stayed in a Lakeside Cottage on a Lifestyle Preview ages and ages ago. It was a nice place, but, to me, not worth anywhere near the exorbitant prices being asked now, even when furnished. The furnishings are "tired" and out-dated, even then (late 2005).

The place I stayed in for a week had three separate lanais/porches, which was fun, but NONE of them was screened, an absolute necessity here, I think.

I am surprised that the Creekside Landing places seem to be on the market. I had assumed (you all know that that's something you should never do!) that those properties would be Lifestyle Preview places forever. The new stuff going in across the street ("Edgewater Bungalows," I think) may replace the buildings in Creekside Landing for previews, but I'm betting will fairly soon also be sold!

No one can ever say that The Villages is dull!
