Watched the third episode tonight. Frankly, I don't know if I can hang in there with this show. I was a HUGE Sopranos fan and I just don't think this one measures up. I am not turned off by violence or nudity, but some of the violence in this series is simply gratuitous, and the nudity often seems a result of contrived events, such as the dressing room scene tonight, just to expose the nudity - doesn't seem to be promoting the story. I have been a fan of Steve Buscemi for years, but this part just doesn't seem to fit. I just don't see him as a kingpin, but more of a sidekick. The acting is not up to Soprano standards and this is not one of Marty Scorceses finer efforts IMO. Many of the characters acting seems forced and cardboard. I will keep trying, but if the stories don't get stronger, I am going to have to quit this one. BTW, I do agree that the period sets and costumes are compelling, and one of the stronger aspects of the show.
