"Imagine", though I loved it at the time, I've grown less fond of. I picture John and Yoko Lennon, among the wealthiest entertainers on the planet and he's singing about "sharing the world". He kept an awful lot for himself for someone with that sentiment.
Also, as I got older, the meaning changed for me into a kind of secular and socialist message I can no longer embrace. I know he was a brilliant and people loving man, but just the same, I'll remember him more fondly for his earlier work when it comes to the music.
