You're right Russ, there's never a problem finding golf partners in The Villages. Those I've met when randomly paired up often give me their cards and say to give them a call when we are finally moved down. Also easy to meet compatible golfers at Ladies' Day on the executive courses, which is mostly what I always play.
Just wanted to let everyone who golfs by themselves to know it's easy, and fun (and easier to get a last minute tee time by yourself) and not to be apprehensive about signing up for a tee time by yourself. I've met the nicest people and rarely had an uncomfortable experience. Have golfed with all levels of golfers on the executive courses.
It probably helps that I'm not a beginner, but I'm not a low handicap golfer either. But if you are a beginner, I think you'll still meet other beginners out there and maybe you can make a future tee time together. Another good place to probably meet golfing partners is by taking a group lesson somewhere, or series of lessons. Have those calling cards ready!
