Default LSV battery - hope this is not a hijack
We have Gel Cell batteries and a friend has original gel cell batteries in his 2002 Gem cart and just like the ever-ready commercial "still running"...They run about $1600 but if they last 7 or 8 years, well worth it.....No maintenance which is great for snowbirds....Granted it is hard to rationalize insurance ($101/yr), registration and batteries, for 5 more MPH and unlimited access to anyplace within a 35mph speed limit, but for us it works!
