Signs/Red Lights Mean Stop
Remember the story about the guy who slowed down and rolled through? When the cop pulled him over and started writing the ticket, the guy argued that there wasn't a car coming so he just slowed down and continued. When the cop stopped writing and starting banging the guy over the head with his stick, the guy hollered, "Stop!". The cop then asked him if he wanted him to stop or "just slow down".
