The Democratic party had it's last "gasp" when they bought in
on the Obama promises.
And for lack of delivery he, Pelosi and Reid lead the cause for last nights results.
The Republicans now should be viewing this turn over as their last gasp. As a result they must make good on their promises.
If they do not 2012 will not default back to the Democrats. I think there will be the re-birthing of an alternate to the Democrats or Republicans.
Generating programs that will result in jobs can be a no brainer if the attitudes toward making it happen parallel JFK's announcement of putting a man on the moon.
The objective of energy independence is frought with opportunity to create jobs...wind mill development and manufacturing... increasing the number of nuclear facilities...increased drilling within the US boundary...increase drilling off shore...and so on.
Provide incentives to companies to bring manufacturing back to the US...make them compete with foreign manufacturers (no unions!!).
If we the people do our job and harass our representatives...they will have to move in the direction to benefit the constituency or they will not get re-elected.
There is potential for a revolution.....yes.....DO SOMETHING that matters resulting in the improvements needed to create jobs. Everything else will fall in place.
There is also one other very important ingredient that just has to change....partisan politics/game playing.
The potential to make a difference is greater than the potential for failure....in my opinion.
