I kinda don't agree. You have to compare apples with apples and oranges with oranges. ... and that is tough. If you take a Camellia on an interior lot, it is very close to how much a Camellia on a interior lot was two years ago, but, that same Camellia on an interior lot cost a lot more in 2006. You can find a Camellia or a Gardenia, its' stucco twin on a view lot and it could be 50k or a 100K more....so you factor in end lots and oversize lots and whether the Camellia has a golfcart garage or a kick forward or an extension to the side... and the Camellia can go up....or down a lot...right now...in today's market.
As Hawkwind just posted today somewhere on the forum they sold 200 new homes in October and 73 used ones.. so there isn't a slow down here.
I have read this forum every day for more than two years and to my knowledge they have never accepted an offer on a new home other than the asking price.
To figure it all out at first it takes a lot of studying the site and comparisons...and deciding which model. I think the easiest way to compare is starting with the square footage, and of course the series...It is not easy.
