So, to take a perfect example, the GOP wants the Bush tax cuts extended but will allow taxes for EVERYONE to go back up because the Democrats won't budge on extending the tax cuts for the wealthiest? I think that may be the 'telling point' when it comes up because voters so often votes with their wallets.
