Hi,
We just moved here, and since I have retired from Nursing, I don't know of any jobs, but if anyone want to start a nurse club (or if there is already one), I would like to join. I have been off work for about 7 years with fibromyalgia and a paralyzed diaphragm on the left side-pulmonary function tests show breathing about 47%. But I worked in a Level 1 Trauma Center for 20 in the Emergency Department. I also was a flight nurse for several years with our hospital helicopter. I left the ED and went to Endoscopy to be a conscious sedation nurse. Everyone loved the sedation nurse!!! I also worked as a preceptor in the ED, and then worked in Ambulatory Surgery as the educator before having to stop working. I had an identity problem when I had to leave work-I had always been a nurse. My husband called me a "SAKIAN" (smart as* know it all nurse) I am curious to know if anyone who has left nursing had a similiar reaction about leaving.
