I'm wondering exactly who has been put in danger. Diplomatic cables don't put the troops in danger. We haven't seen anyone showing examples of spies being named like in the Plame case - though with a quarter million cables to sift through, it could be a tough find.
Personally, I think the various governments have a lot of egg on their faces. The private who leaked these has to be prosecuted for the crimes he committed but it *does* seem to be a bit like a "whistleblower" here.
Who did more damage? The private who leaked the information or Clinton for telling our diplomats to spy on the U.N. (just to pick an easy-to-understand example)?
