4th of july this year at the lake in michigan there were many people with small (2 feet high) hot air ballons that they purchased, they have a small can of sterno suspended from the balloon, light the sterno, hold the balloon until it is lighter than air, let go, it takes off on the wind, it continues to rise and you can see it for about a quarter mile or so...gn
