I'm curious what kind of insurance there is with rentals from private individuals. If there is a defect in the equipment and it causes an accident, who is responsible? (if the brakes give out or the steering malfunctions) If you wreck it who pays?
There is always special insurance for vehicles that are rentals, I wonder if private individuals buy such insurance. It's pretty expensive.
