Richie - It WASN'T a vertical climb - it LOOKED that way because of the angle of the shot. The helicopter shot the video along the same angle of the plane's direction. Here's an example of the SAME effect:

This was done simply with a long exposure that showed the lights on the plane taking off - it LOOKS like it went practically straight up but it didn't.
If you're looking east and a plane starts above you heading east, the further it goes, the lower it gets in the sky. Because of where the helicopter was, the contrail made the same effect.
I was fooled thinking a plane was hovering in mid-air some years ago because of the same forced perspective. It was headed in my direction and appeared to be just 'sitting there'. As I drove on and the plane was more at an angle away from me, I saw it was coming in for a landing.
When you see floodlights in the sky, when they are looking in your direction at 0 or 180 degrees, they look like they're headed straight up in the air but they're not.
There are a LOT of examples of this that are FAR simpler than some massive foreign plot or government coverup that makes *no* sense whatsoever.
Again, I ask you, even if this WAS something nefarious, WHY let it so many people see it? Because everyone else who saw it from a different angle saw an ordinary contrail lit up by the setting sun.
Again, what you're saying is that the helipcopter video means more to you than NASA's GEOS-11 satellite and the video shot by someone else on the ground from another angle.
