Generally speaking your mail box won't hold more than 10 days worth of mail. It becomes harder for the carrier to do his/her job trying to stuff more mail into your box. This may or may not be due to all of the ads you receive, but the carrier is not allowed to not deliver these ads. If it is addressed to your address it must be delivered. If your going to be away more than 3 to 4 days then place a vacation hold on your mail and have it delivered when you returned. If your going to be gone more than 30 days on a vacation, then contact your postmaster and ask to have it for more than 30 days. Other wise you can have your mail temporarily forwarded or you can use the premium forwarding service. If your mail is brought back to the post office and is not picked up within 10 days then the USPS is obligated to return the mail to sender. This is what the senders want.
